How to ensure power supply in hot weather?

This summer, some areas experienced continuous high temperature weather. According to data from the China Electricity Council, it is expected that the highest electricity load in China this year will be around 1.37 billion kilowatts, an increase of about 80 million kilowatts compared to 2022. During the peak summer season, it is expected that the overall supply and demand of electricity in the country will be in tight balance.

The Political Bureau meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held on April 28th pointed out the need to ensure the supply of electricity during peak and summer seasons. Recently, reporters visited the first line of power supply guarantee in Hebei, Sichuan, and other regions to see how various measures can be taken simultaneously to ensure a stable and orderly supply of energy and electricity during peak and summer seasons.
